U.S. Clean Energy by State

Clean Edge recently released its annual index of cleantech activity. The data trove showed strong continued electricity generation from wind, solar, and geothermal sources in the midwest, with Iowa now getting more than 30% of its electricity from wind.   The indexing firm’s Managing Director, Ron Pernick, noted what would seem to be an ongoing paradox: Midwestern states, which are traditionally more conservative politically, are the top states when it comes to generating electricity from renewable energy sources.
